Meet Advanced Bevel Cutting Technology
Our bevel cutting head is capable of gradual and continuous angle cutting in X, Y, Z axes as well as ROTATE and TILT axes. The Hypertherm HPR400XD plasma cutting system can cut black sheet up to 50 mm thickness at 45°+2° angle. All axis movements are driven by patented Harmonic Drive motors from Harmonic Drive AG; both axes are equipped with Harmonic Drive motors with i:50 transmission ratio.
High-precision height control during cutting is achieved by arc voltage monitoring and is supported by modules and sensors including ball screw and linear guideway. The module speed can be up to 10,000 mm/min. Collision control is provided by magnetic separation plates and proximity sensors, protecting the torch from possible collisions during operation. With the push of a button, the cutting head can easily be electronically rotated to point 0 in both axes.
Our Harmonic Drive motors are mounted in a specially designed arm housing and are fully protected against external influences. Continuous bevel cutting is supported by Pronest and Hypertherm control software, and Hypertherm’s True Hole technology ensures superior quality in bevel cutting. In addition, the laser diode integrated on the bevel cutting head ensures precise zeroing of parts and high precision cutting with minimum waste.
